PPGCTA

Welcome to the Graduate Program in Food Science and Technology (PPGCTA)!

The PPGCTA has a Master’s course in Food Science and Technology that was created in 1976 at the Department of Food Technology – DTA / UFRRJ and was the first of its kind in the State of Rio de Janeiro. In 2005, after the accreditation of the Doctorate course at CAPES, the DTA Graduate Program became the Graduate Program in Food Science and Technology (PPGCTA) at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro.

The PPGCTA has in its teaching staff professionals with degrees, training and experience compatible with the areas of concentration and lines of research of the Program. It consists of Professors from different departments at UFRRJ: Department of Food Technology (DTA); professors from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) and researchers from Embrapa Agroindustry of Food – CTAA

The PPGCTA aims to train qualified human resources to work in higher education, as well as specialized professionals to serve the sectors with scientific research and technological development activities.
