Has a degree in History from Universidade Gama Filho (2002) and in
Journalism from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2007), a Master’s in
History from Universidade Federal Fluminense (2006), and a Doctorate in
History from Universidade Federal Fluminense (2010), having done a doctoral
internship in Universidade de Lisboa (2008).
Worked as documentalist archivist and Researcher for the National Library
Foundation between 2008 and 2010. Leader of the research group Iberian
Empires in the Ancien Regime: politics, society, and culture.
Has experience in the area of History, with an emphasis on the History of
Colonial Brazil, and Modern History, especially in the following themes:
administration, politics, institution, and justice.

Empire and the Spanish Empire; Colonial Rio de Janeiro; Politics and
Administration in Portuguese America; Iberian America; the Iberian Peninsula
