Has a degree (1987) and Master’s (1994) in Philosophy from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and a Doctorate (2001) in Philosophy from Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Did internships in the universities of Leipzig and Bielefeld, in Germany. Post-Doctorate in Technische Universität Berlin (2012).
CNPq Researcher with a Productivity Fellowship.
Member of the Brazilian Society of the Theory and History of Historiography (SBTHH) and “Nietzsche-Gesellschaft” (Naumburg/Alemanha). Part of ANPOF GTs: GT-Philosophy of History and Modernity; GT-Nietzsche.
Has experience in the area of Philosophy, with an emphasis on the History of Philosophy, working mainly with the following themes: Nietzsche’s criticism of culture and its reception; the Philosophy of History, from St. Augustine to historicism; Theory of Knowledge and relativism; Ethics, questions of grounding and multiculturalism.
Areas of interest: Philosophy of History, Intellectual History, Histories of Ideas.
