Has a degree and a Master’s in History from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), a Doctorate (2009) in Social History from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Her dissertation “Biography as a historiographic problem in 19th century Brazil,” won first place in the 2010 ANPUH-RJ Award and was published by Editora FGV/EDUR (2011). Did Post-Doctoral research in Universidade de Lisboa.

Among her publications in the area of the Theory of History and History of Historiography is the book Crítica, método e escrita da história em João Capistrano de Abreu (Editora FGV, 2013), a summarized version of her Master’s.
