Associate Professor of the History of Contemporary Brazil of the undergraduate course in History in the Multidisciplinary Institute of Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (IM/UFRRJ).

Has a degree (Bachelors and Licentiate) in History (1991), Master’s (1997), and Doctorate in Social History from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2002).

Member of the Political History Research Group of the National Association of University Professors of History (ANPUH), member of the research group Political Cultures and Democratic Processes and member of the Historical and Geographic Institute of Rio de Janeiro (IHGRJ).

Areas of interest: Brazilian republic (political systems, citizenship, political cultures, state, and institutions) and the History of Rio de Janeiro (state and city).
