Associate Professor, Department of History UFRRJ.

Has a degree in History from UFF (1999), a Master’s in Social Science in Development, Agriculture, and Society from UFRRJ (2004), and a Doctorate in History from UFF (2009). Did Post-Doctoral research in Instituto de Relações Internacionais, Universidad Complutense de Madrid (with a Visiting Professor Abroad Fellowship from CAPES) and in the Graduate Studies Program in History from UFMG (with a senior fellowship from CNPq).

CNPq Researcher with a Productivity Fellowship and FAPERJ Young Scientist Program Fellow.

Coordinator of the Study Group on Capitalism, Power, and Social Struggles (NECAP) and also of the Study Group on Contemporary Agriculture (GEAC).

Areas of interest:  History and politics of the World Bank; multilateral financial organizations; international cooperation for development; imperialism and foreign policy of the United States; capitalism and development in Brazil and Latin America; neoliberalism (theory and history); State, power, and public policies; transnational agrarian policies; agrarian question, social conflicts, and rural social movements in Brazil and Latin America; politics and economics in post-1964 Brazil; forms of organization and business political action in Brazil
