Has a degree in Law from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1988), a degree (1988) and Master’s (2001) in History from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, a Doctorate in History from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2007), and did Post-Doctoratal research in UERJ (2010-2011) and Casa de Rui Barbosa (2019-2020).

Areas of interest: Brazilian Estado Novo, Authoritarian Thought in Brazil, Immigration, Immigration Policy, Control of Entrance of Foreigners.
