Has a Master’s (2008) and Doctorate (2015) in Cultural History from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP).
Leader of the research group “History of the Americas: Sources and Historiography” (UFOP/CNPq) and Researcher associated with the groups “LAméricas. Studies and research in the History of Colonial America” (UFMT/CNPq) and “LAMI. Laboratory of the Iberian Worlds” (UFRRJ/CNPq). Member of H-Moderna: Brazilian Network of Studies in Modern History.
Has experience in the area of teaching and research in History, with an emphasis on the History of the Americas.
Areas of interest: History of the English and Spanish Americas in the colonial period; Chronicles and reports of travelers; Independence of Spanish America; Cultural History.
