Associate Professor, Department of History, UFRRJ.
Has a degree and licentiate in History (1996) from Universidade Federal Fluminense, with a Master’s (2001) and Doctorate (2006) in History from the same institution.
Was a substitute professor in the Department of Human Sciences of UERJ-FFP (2002), did research and teaching activities with the Department of History and the Graduate Program of Political History of UERJ (between 2007 and 2008, with a Researcher Establishment grant from FAPERJ) and in the Department of History and PPGH in UFF, with the support of a PRODOC grant from CAPES.
One of the founders of the Brazilian Society of Theory and History of Historiography (SBTHH) and co-editor of History da Historiography.
Participates in the following research groups: Research Group in Cultural History (NUPEHC), from UFF (1999); Workshops in History, from UERJ, (2004); Laboratory of the Theory of History and History of Historiography (LABTEO), from USP (2009); Histor – Research Group on the Theory of History and the History of Historiography (2010); and the Study Group in the History of Historiography and Modernity (NEHM), in UFOP (2011). Member of Humanas – Networked Researchers.
