Associate Professor of UFRRJ.

Has a degree in History from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1992), a Master’s in Social Anthropology from the Graduate Program in Social Anthropology, Museu Nacional, UFRJ (1996), and a Doctorate in History from the Technical University of Berlin (2002).

Has experience in the area of History, with an emphasis on Contemporary History, working mainly with the following themes: National Socialism, the Holocaust, and extreme right movements in the present time, in particular those linked to the holocaust (negationism), political parties, the police, and authoritarian regimes.

Areas of interest: Political Movements in the Contemporary World (20th Century): Movements, Parties, and Regimes (Left and Right); Conservative Thought; Anti-Semitism and the Holocaust; Neo-Nazism and Neo-Fascism.
