PhD in Education from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (PROPED-UERJ) (2018). Holds a Master’s degree in Education from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (PROPED-UERJ) (2011), a Postgraduate specialization in Court Sports from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) (2009), and another Postgraduate specialization in School Physical Education (2009). Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ) (2006). Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the Multidisciplinary Institute of the Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ) and teaches in the Graduate Program in Education (PPGEDUC) at UFRRJ, in Research Line 2: Social Inequalities and Educational Policies.
She leads the Study and Research Group on Higher Education and Educational Research – ESPE/UFRRJ, and is a researcher at the Research Center on Epistemology and Methodology of the Sciences – Episteme/UERJ. Her expertise lies in the field of Education, with a focus on educational research, covering topics such as knowledge production, contemporary academic production, theoretical-methodological issues in research, institutionalization processes in higher education, scientific knowledge, and scientific research methodology.

The Study and Research Group on Higher Education and Educational Research – ESPE focuses on education research and examines the relationships between knowledge production in education and higher education within the neoliberal context. The group’s recurring research topics revolve around two main axes: theoretical-methodological concerns in education and political-institutional issues influencing and directing educational policies in Brazil.
Active since 2019 at the Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), the research group collaborates with other education researchers and maintains partnerships with multiple research groups, adhering to a multi-institutional structure.
RESEARCH PROJECTS
- Educational Research in the 2013-2016 Quadrennium: Object, Methodology, and Theoretical Perspectives
Period: 2021 – Present
This project examines educational research as a research object, analyzing educational studies and researcher training, particularly through journal publications in the field of education. By analyzing bibliographical outputs, it has been possible to identify different theoretical-methodological perspectives in educational research and the configurations of research phases, with notable cohesion around institutions and specific research lines.

- Educational Research Objects and Methodologies: Theoretical Perspectives in Brazil
Period: 2020 – 2021
This project identifies and presents various theoretical-methodological perspectives in educational research and the dynamics of the field, highlighting cohesion around institutions, research objects, theoretical perspectives, and empirical approaches. It aims to map research objects, methodologies, and theoretical perspectives, focusing on studies conducted within graduate programs, as they embody the institution’s current research expression and formative dimension.
