Rules and Regulations
The Graduate Program in Education, Contemporary Contexts, and Popular Demands (PPGEDUC) at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ) strictly adheres to the institutional norms that guide its decisions and actions. All deliberations concerning the composition of committees, allocation of scholarships, enrollment, dismissals, and other administrative aspects are based on the guidelines and regulations established by the university and responsible bodies such as the Pro-Rectorate of Research and Graduate Studies (Deliberation No 631/2023 – PROPPG/UFRRJ).
These norms ensure that decisions are made transparently, fairly, and equitably, respecting the institutional principles that guide academic administration and the commitment to excellence in teaching and research. Furthermore, PPGEDUC adopts affirmative action policies in accordance with Deliberation No. 556/2023, aiming to promote inclusion and diversity, taking into account the specificities of each social group and societal demands. Affirmative actions are implemented in compliance with institutional guidelines and relevant legislation, aiming to ensure equal opportunities and a fairer and more democratic academic environment.
By following these guidelines, PPGEDUC ensures that decisions are made collectively, in alignment with the program’s objectives and its commitment to promoting education as a tool for social transformation.
