The Graduate Program in Chemistry at UFRRJ aims to train human resources and develop research related to its different lines of action in Chemistry. The location of the Graduate Program in Chemistry at UFRRJ favors the training of human resources at the master’s and doctoral level, leading to the development of low HDI regions such as the Baixada Fluminense, the West Zone of the Rio de Janeiro city, as well as as several municipalities in southern of the Rio de Janeiro State.
