The stricto sensu professional master’s degree was regulated by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) by Ordinance No. 80 of 1998 and Normative Ordinance No. 17 of December 28, 2009. The objectives of the professional master’s degree are: (I) to train professionals qualified for the exercise of advanced professional practice and transforming procedures; (II) transfer knowledge to society; (III) to promote the integrated articulation of professional training with demanding entities of different natures; and (IV) contribute to adding competitiveness and increasing productivity in companies, public and private organizations; and (V) pay attention to innovation processes and procedures, whether in industrial activities that generate products or in the organization of public or private services.
