Graduate in Chemistry from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1997), Master degree in Physical Chemistry from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1999) and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2003) and worked at Institut für Theoretische Chemie, Universität Wien, as a Post-doc fellow (2003 – 2004). Prof. Glauco Favilla Bauerfeldt now works at the Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro. His research focuses on Chemical Kinetic and Catalyzes, acting on the following subjects: Ab initio and DFT Calculations, Variational Transition State Theory, Theories of Unimolecular Reactions, RRKM. Among his main interests are the theoretical and experimental studies of chemical reactions of Environmental and Technological Interest.
