DESCRIPTION: Within the scope of public, private, and mixed organizations, it plans, diagnoses, and develops tools, methods, and technologies to support production systems, management controls, and informational and decision-making processes. Research, studies, or projects in this line of work prioritize developing, testing, validating, approving, and implementing solutions to real organizational problems, seeking to align scientific-academic theory and corporate practice. Thus, the development of solutions preferably focuses on the construction of technological artifacts, such as software/computer programs, techniques/technologies, methods/methodologies, practices, plans, or management models aimed at innovation and improvement of the three levels of organizational: strategic, tactical, or operational. The thematic axes included in this line aim to develop studies on monitoring and evaluating public policies, technologies, and their impacts on management. It also operates in analyses focused on sectoral development and competitiveness gains in public, private, and mixed organizations. Therefore, the following are topics of interest for projects associated with this line of action: planning and improvement of organizational management; analysis and improvement of business processes, project, and process management technologies; diagnosis and improvement of organizational performance; study and implementation of Technological Innovation solutions of Society 5.0; management of technology transfer projects; analysis of economic and financial viability of business; study and monitoring of technology adoption and assessment of technology impacts; evaluation of public policies on decision-making; public policies, social inclusion and performance of production and commercialization on local arrangements of agricultural chains. In addition, it combines quantitative and qualitative methods in analyzing the topics mentioned above in managers’ decision-making process.
