The mission of the Postgraduate Program in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering (PGEAAmb) at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ) is to train highly trained professionals to work in the areas of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering, promoting the advancement of scientific and technological knowledge. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the Program seeks innovative solutions to the challenges of the agricultural and environmental sector, always aligned with the principles of sustainability and socio-environmental responsibility.

The PGEAAmb aims to meet a growing demand from professionals trained in courses directly involved, such as: Agricultural and Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Engineering and professionals from related courses such as: Agronomy, Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, Food Engineering, Surveying Engineering, Surveying and Cartographic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Animal Science, Meteorology, among others, offered by UFRRJ itself or other higher education institutions from any part of Brazil and the world. Over the next few years, the Program will continue to strive to continuously qualify its students, raise funds for infrastructure and research, expand internationalization actions and build strategic partnerships with the productive sector. All of this with the objective of generating cutting-edge knowledge and effectively contributing to the sustainable development of agriculture and the environment. PGEAAmb reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence and social transformation, consolidating itself as a space for innovation, research and training of professionals prepared for the challenges of the future.

The recent implementation of the Doctoral course represents a significant milestone in the consolidation of PGEAAmb as a reference in teaching and research in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering. This expansion not only strengthens the academic structure and scientific production, but also fosters innovation and technology transfer to the productive sector. Over the coming years, the Program will continue to focus on the ongoing training of its students, raising funds for infrastructure and research, expanding internationalization efforts and building strategic partnerships with the production sector. All of this is aimed at generating cutting-edge knowledge and effectively contributing to the sustainable development of agriculture and the environment.
