The PPGEA has an exclusive building for handling its administrative, teaching and research activities.

Its headquarters are located inside the Seropédica campus of the Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro, right next to the buildings for the Department of Soils and the Institute of Agronomy (IA).

The building is located on a large area of land that was built to cater to the requirements of the Program, including (see photos at the bottom of this page):

+ A Program Coordination Office;
+ An Academic and Administrative Department Office;
+ A Financial Administrative Support Office;
+ Library;
+ An Auditorium with room for up to 35 spectators;
+ 2 amphitheaters with the capacity to hold up to 35 spectators (the amphitheaters are divided by a mobile barrier, making it possible to transform the two spaces into a single amphitheater with double the capacity);
+ A multi-media area with a capacity to hold up to 16 spectators;
+ 2 orientation rooms;
+ Bathrooms and a kitchen;
+ A lounge equipped with bathrooms, a kitchen, table, and open and covered areas.

All rooms in the building are equipped with air conditioning units. All rooms for classes and presentations are equipped with slide projectors.
