On the use of CAM-UFRRJ laboratory infrastructure:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-A user, internal or external, is defined as any individual or legal entity that requests analysis to be performed at CAM, for the purpose of developing teaching, research, extension and service provision activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-The user will be responsible for paying for the analyses according to the current spreadsheet or asking the CAM coordinator about another form of compensation to cover the costs of the analyses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-The user and\/or technician responsible for CAM is responsible for finding out about the general and specific rules for the equipment that will be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-The user will not be allowed to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I. Change the configuration and\/or calibration of equipment without prior consultation with the person in charge of CAM;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

II. Remove equipment and consumables from CAM facilities without the authorization of the person in charge;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IV. Handle the equipment inappropriately, under the risk of penalties at the discretion of the Management Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-CAM equipment will be made available to internal and external faculty\/researchers\/users, according to the rules below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I. The use of the equipment will be permitted to faculty\/researchers with graduate and undergraduate students from the PPGQ-UFRRJ, or to faculty\/researchers with projects approved by funding agencies, or who collaborate with public or private institutions; or in the form of service provision. Activities will be scheduled through the PPGQ-UFRRJ website using a specific electronic form;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

II. Some analyses on CAM equipment will preferably be performed by technicians\/researchers responsible for the equipment, except in cases where the internal and\/or external user has authorization from the User Committee, as well as knowledge and mastery of the equipment to operate it;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

III. CAM’s regular operating hours will follow UFRRJ’s operating hours, and the Management Committee will be responsible for defining the schedule and periods in which the laboratory will be reserved for internal maintenance activities;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IV. Research projects from PPGQ-UFRRJ and internal programs will be prioritized over projects from external institutions, as well as service provision projects;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

V. The time of use of the equipment will be distributed as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a) 60% for Research, Development and Innovation Projects of UFRRJ,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b) 30% for provision of external services;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

c) 10% for maintenance of the equipment and technical training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VI. Each researcher\/user may only use a given piece of equipment for a maximum of three consecutive days per week;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VII. The CAM must have an occurrence log, where the user and\/or technician can record any abnormalities observed during the period of operation;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VIII. All products, of any nature, resulting from results obtained through the use of equipment existing at the CAM must be duly mentioned in the acknowledgments, in order to justify future demands and investments;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IX. There will be no obligation to include co-authorship in publications for the Management\/User and\/or technical-administrative Committees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

X. When using CAM-UFRRJ for the development of scientific and\/or technological research, the user undertakes to include acknowledgements in their scientific publications or technical-scientific reports.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
