Possui graduação em Engenharia Química pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1994), mestrado em Engenharia Química pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1997) e doutorado em Engenharia Química pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2001). Atualmente é professor associado da Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: modelagem, otimização e controle de processos. (Texto informado pelo autor).
