For our students who have defended Dissertations/Thesis in the last months or who will defend in the coming months, here is a summary of the first post-defense procedures regarding the final version. It is worth remembering that there will be other procedures besides those to follow.

– The student makes possible corrections and adjustments to the dissertaion/thesis file suggested by the board;

– Only the student’s advisor forwards the final corrected file to the Program’s official reviewer;

– After approval by the reviewer, the student can generate the catalog card, insert it in the dissertation/thesis, print and bind according to the current rules;

– The student delivers a printed copy of the dissertation/thesis to the PPGA-CS office. The deadline for forwarding the dissertation/thesis to the official reviewer is 60 calendar days counted from the date of defense. If this period has expired, the advisor must present proof of professional formatting and spelling check in the file to the Program’s reviewer in order to forward the material.
