1- Bioecology, Diagnostics and Control of Pathogens of Importance to Veterinary  Medicine

Description: Studies on the biology and ecology of infectious and parasitic agents. Description and re-description of species. Study of transmission and dispersal pathways, including species of zoonotic importance. Updating and development of diagnostic methods. Evaluation and development of methods, techniques and approaches used in integrated control.

2-  The Health-Disease Process in Veterinary Medicine

Description: Study of etiopathology, diagnostic paths and preventive actions aimed at  the development of control strategies  for diseases that affect farmed, domestic and wild animals.

3- Veterinary Epidemiology

Description: Epidemiological diagnosis and analysis of determinant factors associated with the frequency and distribution of communicable diseases as well as the socio-economic and cultural assessment of the health-disease applied to their control.
