Descrição do Laboratório de Farmacologia da inflamação e nocicepção

 

O Laboratório de Farmacologia da inflamação e nocicepção é coordenado pelos Dr. Bruno Guimarães Marinho (Prof. Associado II),  Dr. David do Carmo Malvar (Prof. Adjunto II)  e Dr. Wellington da Silva Côrtes (Prof. Associado IV). O laboratório tem por objetivo utilizar métodos de investigação científica que possam permitir o desenvolvimento de abordagens terapêuticas para minimizar ou prevenir o estabelecimento de condições álgicas e inflamatórias, através da busca por alvos farmacológicos e por moléculas naturais ou sintéticas analgésicas e/ou anti-inflamatórias. O laboratório dispõe de infraestrutura para realização de modelos algesimétricos e inflamatórios in vivo e também análises ex vivo e in vitro através de imunoensaios (ELISA e Multiplex), Western blot, imunohistoquímica e RT-PCR. Dentre as linhas desenvolvidas atualmente estão: 1) Desenvolvimento de moléculas híbridas a partir de derivados tetrahidropirânicos com potencial anti-inflamatório e analgésico; 2)Estudo do potencial analgésico e anti-inflamatório de óleos essenciais e partes aéreas de plantas das famílias Euphorbiaceae, Fabaceae, Myrtaceae, Primulaceae entre outras éspecies vegetais de uso medicinal, alimentício ou ornamental; 3) Avaliação do potencial antinociceptivo, anti-inflamatório e anti-artrite do extrato aquoso das folhas de Cecropia hololeuca e suas frações; 4) Investigação do potencial  antinociceptivo, anti-inflamatório e anti-artrite do LQB-118; 5) Avaliação das atividades farmacológicas de compostos indanodiônicos e derivados barbitúricos.
